sun lotion is a devised substance that we use to protect from sunburn, skin cancers, and other conditions that cause unwarranted exposure to sunlight. You will call it sun block or sun cream, it could all come into a form of lotion, spray, gel or other up to date product that defend you from ultraviolet and help defend against third degree burns. How can sunscreen protect you from sunburn? First of all I'll give you a short explanation on how sunlight is danger you our skin. Sunlight that passes thru the ozone layers and enters the Earth has wavelength of 290 - 760 nanometers. This wavelength is break into three sections, which are range all the way from 290 - 320 nanometers is UVB or ultraviolet ( UV ) and the range all the way from 320 - four hundred nanometers is a UVA and the range from 400 - 760 nanometers could see with our own eyes, called visible radiation. These radiations, especially from UVA and UVB, will create physical and chemical reactions with our skin, which can lead to skin cancers. So, we've got to consider protecting our skin from the dangerous radiation and one of the best methods is using sun lotion.

There are two kinds of how sunscreens protect our skin from daylight, which are chemically and physically. Chemical sun lotion absorbs the radiation into the chemical's molecule and converts the radiation into heat, instead of letting the radiation to pass thru our skin into the dermis area. Some sunscreen only absorbs UVA radiation and some sun lotion only soaks up UVB radiation, but there are also suntan lotion that would absorb both UVA and UVB radiation. But not one of the sun lotion can absorb the plain radiation. Physical sun lotion reflects the radiation out of our skin. The 2 most popular chemicals that have an ability of physical sunscreen are Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide, but Zinc Oxide is less white comparing to the Titanium Dioxide and it could reflects the UVB, UVA, and the plain radiations.

folk who plan to buy sun lotion product should select carefully. The important considerations before purchasing suntan lotion product are the ingredient list. The ingredient that is added should have a capability to reflect or absorb UVA, UVB and plain light radiation. We should ensure that the density of the ingredient is not too high or not so low because if it's too high it may harm our skin, while if it is too low it may be ineffective. Another factor to consider is the quantity of SPF ( Sun Protection Factor ) and PA ( protection grade for UVA ).

SPF ( Sun Protection Factor ) is to measure for the ability of the suntan lotion how much could it protect from the UVB radiation. The quantity of the SPF indicates how frequently this suntan lotion can protect from the UVB radiation. For instance SPF fifteen, this indicates that this sunscreen have capability to protect UVB radiation 15 times from the applier skin. In the other word, if an individual skin gets sun burn after standing in the sun for 15 - 30 mins and if this person applies SPF 15 sun lotion lotion on the skin, this suntan lotion will protect the skin from second degree burns 15 times, which will be around 3 - four hours.
PA ( Protection grade for UVA ) is to determine the ability of the suntan lotion how much it might protect from UVA radiation. PA is factor breaks into 3 levels which are PA 2 - four which can protect some of UVA, PA 4 - eight can protect UVA radiation reasonably or around medium level, and PA eight and above could protect from the UVA radiation the best.
